I think NK is lesson the US has taught everyone; get a nuke or give up your natural resources, and of course, any hope of being autonomous. There's no way a sane country would give up nukes if you're not on the right side of NATO.

Even a former U.S intelligence officer admits North Korea has acted brilliantly and what North Korea has done so far has been in the best interests in guaranteeing its survival and deterring the U.S.

The idea that NK is irrational is a mistake. The leadership values their own lives, and are pursuing means to guarantee them. They won't engage in a first strike as that would mean their lives would be forfeit.
